Let me tell you something – I didn’t become a fishing expert overnight. Growing up, I was that kid who was always hanging around rivers and lakes, more interested in what was happening in the water than anywhere else. My friends thought I was weird, but I was just curious. Now, after twenty-one years of doing this professionally, I can say that curiosity has turned into a pretty awesome career.
I started FishMasterGuide.com because I wanted to share my passion with other people. It’s not just about catching fish or paddling a kayak – it’s about understanding the incredible world beneath the water’s surface. Think of me like that science teacher who makes learning super exciting, except my classroom is a river or a lake.
I’ve got certifications in advanced fishing techniques, which sounds fancy, but really means I’ve spent countless hours learning how fish actually live and move. I’ve guided over 900 trips, and each one is different. Some days, it’s about teaching a kid how to cast their first line, other days, it’s helping experienced anglers find that perfect fishing spot.
But here’s the thing I’m most proud of – I’m not just teaching people how to fish. I’m teaching them how to respect our environment. Every time I take a group out, we talk about conservation. How do we fish responsibly? How can we protect these amazing water ecosystems? It’s like being a nature detective and a tour guide rolled into one.
My team and I at FishMasterGuide.com are basically environmental educators disguised as adventure guides. We want people to have fun, but we also want them to leave knowing more about the world around them. Whether you’re 12 or 62, there’s always something new to learn out on the water.
